Lads. I have a feeling we might get something from this. I can feel it in my bones.
I am going for 2.1 West Ham with Valencia scoring the winner.
How you reckon this MASSIVE game will plan out?

Over optimistic predictions IMO but then I am a fully paid up "glass half full" man as a result of the last 55 years watching our C & B boys.
I think it very unlikely we will get anything but will be happy, as mentioned by many, if we can give them a decent game and make them work really hard for anything they get. Hopefully they will not get an early goal or even score first. If they net in the first 20 mins it will be a real let down.
Anyway, like I say, lets scare them at least today with a top performance and like BFS says even that may not be enough but we can at least be proud.

Our Head-to-Head with Chelsea is 53 wins a piece. Having won just one of the last 17 we must have once had a healthy lead. A good time to maintain the advantage.

Love that the west ham poll has a higher percentage for a win than a loss.
Far better sides than ours have failed to break mourinho's 5/6 year unbeaten home record as boss, so I won't be holding my breath.
Looking forward to us putting up a good fight, though I still can't see anything other than a defeat to a very good Chelsea side.
Am hoping hazard is injured, as I know he was doubtful yesterday.

What ever the result today, let it be said that its years since I have enjoyed watching WH so much - as this game gets closer a sense of excitment grows, for which we should be grateful to the club.
My lad, 15, said in the week, Christmas is always great Dad but for all of the presents, meal and all that with Christmas Day, I cant wait for Boxing Day - thats the big one.
He is not alone.
Thanks West Ham and all that means.

Referee will be the most important factor. Will Mr Oliver cave into the demands and moaning from the Chelsea mafia? Will he send one of ours off or give them a controversial penalty or deny us one? I think the risk is high.
In terms of formations and selections, we simply have to win the midfield because that is where Chelsea are so strong and usually dominate. They have the 2 deep lying players and then 3 in front of them creating space and chances using Costa or the wing backs.If we can have Kouyate, Noble and Song pressing them hard with help from Downing and Sakho, we might be able to keep them busy. I would start with 5 in the middle with Zarate too keeping them occupied. Keep Carroll and Valencia for later in the game if necessary. But I suspect BFS will continue with the same set up as the last few games and rely on Carroll and Nolan again. That will be easier to defend and have us struggling to get the ball in midfield. But we shall see.

The ref tomorrow is Michael Oliver. It will be his 100th game in the PL.
Can't stand the cunt to be honest. I hope he doesn't turn out to be a 'homer' to not upset Mourinho on this big day in his career.
